[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Since we began working together almost 3 years ago, John and I have decided on a yearly word to describe our business goals. This word would then allow us to outline specific goals for our business, client relationships, networking and home / work separation. Last year our word of the year was #GROWTH. This single word pushed us to expand WD59 in all aspects – we moved into our new office, gained 45 new monthly website design clients, joined new networking groups, spent more time with our girls and most importantly, figured out the flow of working as a husband and wife team.
John and I are both very modest in regards to declaring how great of a website design firm we are. We both believe our business morals, website portfolio and 5 star client reviews speak for themselves. Yet, there was an elephant in the room every time we visited a new networking group. Many groups are limited to only one chair per industry but we found the website design chair was 9 out of 10 times taken by a mediocre designer. The group would want to invite us in but the designers already in place had been there for years but still practiced year 2K design tactics. Everytime John left a meeting, he would scratch his head and say “If they are not good, then why keep them?”, followed by, “Rach, we just gotta get out there more!”.
Welcome – The year of #SHAMELESS
This year our word of the year is #SHAMELESS – as in speaking about Web Design 59 unashamed, blatant, and full of confidence in our work and our business. Showing up as the best choice for small and medium size businesses who don’t want the traditional pay for your website and never see/hear from your developer again. Our perfect clients who are looking for a team, a partnership and someone who cares about their business as much as they do. Speaking openly about our accomplishments of being both an award winning designer and sales person. Opening up about how we help our clients through rough patches that all businesses go through. Our year of #SHAMELESS is a movement – to #GROW, to set an example, to break some molds and to redefine the standard business practice.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
